The Institute for Evidence-Based Nutrition (IEBN) is a non-profit education, advocacy, and
research organization.
We are a consortium of physicians, nutritionists, researchers, health
professionals, and lay people, all with the common goal of improving the public's health and promoting a
sensible and scientific approach to nutrition and prevention.
Our primary mission is to:
- Educate the public, physicians, healthcare professionals, and policymakers on matters of nutrition and health;
- Promote the benefits of sound nutrition for healthy living, prevention of disease, and as an adjunct to traditional medical therapies;
- Clear up confusions about health risks, nutritional plans and products, and preventive treatments; and
- Facilitate policy and environmental changes to combat the existing norms that encourage poor eating, inactivity, and obesity.
IEBN is an unbiased advocate for healthcare professionals and the public. We have no financial or commercial relationships with any healthcare or nutrition-related companies, and we sell no nutritional products. |
