OUR MISSION:

  • To be an unbiased, never commercial, advocate for the public.
  • To present to the public, without pride or prejudice, the most accurate, unbiased, scientific evidence for nutrition products and practices, including diet plans, weight loss programs, dietary supplements, herbal therapies, macro- and micronutrient choices, and other nutritional interventions.
  • To educate healthcare providers, policy-makers, and consumers on the efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness of nutritional interventions for health and disease.
  • To improve the public's health by enhancing the quality of popular nutrition and preventive health education and media information.
  • To publish and popularize evidence-based evaluations of commercially available nutrition products and practices.
  • To raise public awareness of nutritional products and practices that are rigorously proven to improve health, and to criticize nutritional products and practices whose claims are not backed up by solid and reliable evidence.
  • To improve patient care by identifying and popularizing those nutritional interventions proven to be beneficial in the prevention and/or treatment of disease, either alone or in conjunction with standard medical therapies.
